Exodus 12:13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. There is something I don’t want you to miss in our scripture for today. The Lord said to the children of Israel, “when I see the blood, I will pass over.” So then, the only quali cation for the Lord to pass over your house in that camp was the token of the blood. We know for a fact that even the camp of Israel, like any other society, would have had some dodgy characters in there mingling with the rest of the crowd. But when it came to who would be spared from the wrath of God, the only thing that God looked for was the blood. Jesus is the token we carry in our hearts today as believers. He is the only quali cation that God is looking for to spare every believer from the wrath to come. This is the Good News we preach! Heaven is guaranteed for you. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Too many around the world are not aware that their sins have been remitted. He did not do it for Christians; He did it for the whole world (John 3:16). There are those today who ignorantly put themselves through some harsh penance. They punish themselves for their sins, thinking if they suffer enough, God would be sympathetic towards them and overlook their sins. However, it does not work that way. It is not by your efforts. What was required was sinless blood, the blood of Jesus Christ. He alone was qualified to offer Himself for the remission of our sins. It doesn’t matter what you have done wrong today, I have good news for you. You don’t have to bearthe weight of sin, He did that for you. All you have to do is to receive and appropriate His sacrifice, and you will be free indeed! If you are sick, convince yourself that Jesus is your doctor and that by His stripes you are healed. You don’t need to convince God to do it. He is not the one who needs to be persuaded because He is the giver of every blessing. It is you who needs to be persuaded that God has already given you your miracle. That is the reason you confess His Word, to convince yourself, not God, to persuade your heart, not His. You just need to convince yourself that God loves you and delights in blessing you.
